TESTIMONY OF TONY LEE YONG LE

INTRO

My name is Tony. I am 34 years old, I come from Malaysia, Johor Bahru.

With great honor, I can share my life testimony.

BACKGROUND

I was a drug addict for over ten years. I was exposed to drugs because of my friends around me and the curiosity towards drugs.

Because of drugs, I lost everything. I had a broken marriage and my own family deserted me. Because of my need of drugs, I did many wrong things from cheating, breaking into houses to even robbing just to get more money for drugs.

PRISON LIFE

1st Time

I went into the prison twice. The first time I was jailed up for one year due to robbery. The actual sentence was nine years and one stroke. As I looked back, I believe it was the mercy of the Lord to reduce it to one year as God provided a lawyer to defend me.

2nd Time

I did not turn over a new leaf, after serving my one-year sentence. Not long after I was arrested and sentenced to seven months for possessing of stolen goods.

I learn to be even worse in the prison. The first time when I was in the prison, I was afraid, then later I was not afraid at all. Staying in the prison could not change a person to be better.

In Prison I also once gain got to be involved in bad activities.

Then one day, I did not feel like going through this kind of life in the prison.

My Mother

My mother visited me and use to bring the photos taken when I was small and would start crying. Seeing my mother’s tears made me realise  that I cannot be so selfish.

The Steps of Change

One day, when was in the prison, I remember very clearly that was a Tuesday. The officer came in to ask if there were any Christians, and they were allowed to participate in the fellowship. I have accepted Christ so I went. So, I joined the fellowship for the sake of just getting a breather.

When I was at the fellowship, I saw a Pastor Sam. I told him to do me a favor asking him to call my mother to come and visit me. He told me would gladly help me to do so and just gave him the phone number.

At my court hearing , Ps Sam and my mother was there. I was released because I had already served my sentence.

My mother wanted me to go to a center but I was not willing , because I had been once for 18 months before and failed.

That time I could not listen to anything advice, once I was out of the prison, I had other thoughts and I wanted to leave and I was struggling again.

Victory in surrender

But because of my mother, I decided to go the centre for her sake. I was feeling unwilling in the centre. I sorted many ways to get out. One night I prayed to God, I told God that if He wanted me to stay in the centre, give me a willing heart. Do not give me this unwilling heart. If after these two weeks I still have this unwillingness, I want to leave. As I was reading a book. amazingly God spoke to me through this bible. God told me that I needed to surrender my life to Him. It was very clearly that He spoke to me. He chose to escape so I closed the bible. Not long after I opened the bible again. The phrase appeared again – you need to surrender your life to Me.

I immediately i knelt down and prayed and asked the Lord to forgive me. Thereafter, God renewed my heart and gave me a willing heart to go to the rehab center.

I was at the rehab center for 10 days, then Pastor Sam came and picked me to send me to the other rehab center, which is the Breakthrough Rehab Centre.

Current Status

Actually, I have finished my stay in the rehab center, I have graduated, no need to stay in the center. It is unbelievable to me as initially I came to this center with an unwilling heart but now, I am serving the Lord whole heartedly in this center. But the Lord has changed me amazingly, the phrase kept appearing in my mind that I need to surrender my life to the Lord. I came to the  Breakthrough Rehab Centre, Pekan Nenas on 3/8/2018. . I am very grateful that I can serve in Breakthrough Rehab Centre. From then till now I have been here for three years exactly and I am also a co-worker of this center. This is a very fruitful and effective ministry. Currently there are 15 ex-convicts staying in the rehab center. Amongst the 15 of us in the center, 5 of us are led by Pastor Sam. I am thankful to him.

Encouragement to Volunteers 

I would like to take this opportunity to encourage those who are serving in the prison ministry, the work you have done is not in vain. I am indeed grateful towards Pastor Sam. He and the co-workers go to the prison to send share the word of God and lead praise and worship. That was the time that this fellowship has helped me. Especially when I was in the prison, I would want turn away from my bad habits, but when we are out of the prison, we do not have a goal and aim in life, very naturally we will go back to our old ways. When I saw Pastor Sam helped us whole heartedly, brought my mother to the court for the hearing, he was willing to go the extra mile for me, and I am who I am now .

 Every day I pray unto the Lord that Lord I offer my life to You, use me, lead me to the path that You want me to go. Serving the Lord is a wonderful thing. I would like to thank Pastor Sam his effort and what he has done.

That day when Pastor Sam told me that whether I could record my testimony, it was a challenge to me as I need to face the camera, but to share my testimony, I can glorify the name of our Lord.

This is my first time recording a testimony, probably the flow is not smooth, I have tried my best to share. I just want to glorify the name of our Lord through my testimony. Thank you.

Testimony Through Prison Fellowship Johor Bahru Chapter ( Aug 2021)

我叫托尼。我今年 34 岁，我来自马来西亚新山. 非常荣幸，我可以分享我的生活见证。

背景

我吸毒十多年了。因为我身边的朋友和我对毒品的好奇，我开始接触到了毒品。因为吸毒，我失去了一切。我的婚姻破裂了，我自己的家人也抛弃了我。因为我需要毒品，我做了很多错误的事情，从欺骗、闯入甚至抢劫，只是为了获得更多的钱买毒品。

监狱生活

第一次

我进过监狱两次。我第一次是因为抢劫被判入狱一年。实际刑期是九年加一鞭。当我回首时，我相信将它缩短到一年是上帝的怜悯，因为上帝提供了一位律师来为我辩护。

第二次

服完一年刑期后，我没有改过自新。不久后，我因藏有赃物被逮捕并判刑七个月。在监狱里，我变得更糟。第一次在监狱里，我很害怕，后来就不害怕了。呆在监狱里并不能改变一个人将他变得更好。再监狱里，我也曾经参与过不良活动。然后有一天，我厌倦了监狱里的这种生活。

我的母亲

当我妈妈来看我时，经常把我小时的照片拿来，然后就开始哭了。看到妈妈的眼泪，我才明白自己不能这么自私。

改变

有一天，在监狱里的时候，我清清楚楚地记得那是一个星期二。官员进来问这里有没有基督徒，我们被允许参加团契。我已经接受了基督，所以我就去了。其实，我加入团契只是为了喘口气。

当我在团契时，我认识了SAM牧师。我请他帮我一个忙，让他打电话给我妈妈来看我。他很乐意的帮助我，所以我给了他电话号码。在听证会上，SAM牧师和我母亲都在场。我被判当庭释放是因为我已经服完刑。我妈妈想让我去中心，但我不情愿，因为我之前去过一次，18 个月后都失败了，又从犯。那个时候我什么劝告都听不进去，出狱后心里就有别的想法，想离开，又在挣扎。

降服的胜利

因为我妈妈的缘故，我决定为了她去中心。我在中心感到很不情愿。我想了很多方法要出去。一天晚上我向上帝祈祷，我告诉上帝，如果他要我留在中心，请给我一颗愿意的心。不要让我不甘心。如果过了这两个星期我还有这种不甘心，我就离开。当我在看书的时候。令人惊讶的是，上帝通过这本圣经对我说话。上帝告诉我，我需要将我的生命交给祂。我非常清楚的知道祂对我说话。但我选择逃跑，所以我合上了圣经。没多久，我又翻开圣经。这句话再次出现——你需要将你的生命交给我。

我立刻跪下祷告，祈求主宽恕我。此后，神更新了我的心，给了我一颗愿意去康复中心的心。

我在康复中心待了10天，然后SAM牧师来接我，把我送到另一个康复中心，也就是现在的突破宣道之家。

现状

其实我已经在突破宣道之家完成了需要的功课，我已经毕业了，不用再呆在突破宣道之家了。起初我带着不情愿的心来到这个中心，让我难以置信，但现在，我在这个中心全心全意地事奉主。主已经惊人地改变了我，这句话一直出现在我的脑海中，我需要将我的生命交给主。我于 2018 年 3 月 8 日来到位于北干的突破宣道之家。 我很感激能在突破宣道之家服务。从那时到现在，我已经在这里整整三年了，我也是该中心的一名同工。这是一个非常有成果和有效的事工。目前有15名前罪犯留在康复中心。在我们中间的 15 人中，我们有 5 人是由SAM牧师带领。我很感谢他。

鼓励义工

我想借此机会鼓励那些在监狱服事的人，你们所做的工作没有白费。我真的很感谢SAM牧师。他们奉差遣去监狱分享神的话语，带领敬拜赞美。这个团契帮助了我。尤其是在监狱里的时候，我很想改掉自己的坏习惯，但出狱后，我们没有人生的目标和方向，很自然地我们又会回到过去的生活。当我看到SAM牧师全心全意地帮助我们，把我妈妈带到法庭上听审时，因着他的愿意和付出，就造就现在的我。

每天我都向主祈祷，求主使用我的生命，使用我，引导我走上你要我走的路。事奉主是一件奇妙美好的事情。我要感谢SAM牧师的努力和他所做的。

那天SAM牧师告诉我，我可以分享我的见证吗？这对我来说是一个挑战，因为我需要面对镜头，但因着我的见证，我可以荣耀我们主的名。

这是我第一次录制见证，可能过程不够顺畅，但我已经尽力分享了。我只想通过我的见证来荣耀我们主的名。谢谢你。
