Our Founder – Chuck Colson

The Prison Ministry International was founded by Chuck Colson (1931-2012), the personal aide to the then President of the United States, Richard Nixton.

Charged with prejury and sentenced to prison in 1974. In prison, he felt the burden of the prisoners.

After 7 months he was released and returned to serve those who remained.

The Ministry of Prison Fellowship International began in 1979 and today it is operating in 120 countries with nearly 1 million volunteers worldwide.
