From Death to Life 由死至生

TESTIMONY OF AD Leong

Background

Hi shalom to all my brothers and sisters in Christ. My name is Leong Boon Huat. I am a Chinese. I came from Bintulu, Sarawak. I am also a member of Prison Fellowship Ministry Bintulu Chapter. Most of my friends call me AD Leong. AD stand for After Death. Why they called me after death, because I have been sentenced to death before. I was a drug addict and also a drug dealer. I was arrested and was sentenced to death. 

In Prison

I really want to thank God because of His grace, my sentence was changed to life in prison and 10 strokes of rotan just because of some technical problem. After spending 15 years in prison. I was given a chance to be released from prison by the year of 2003. Halleluiah we really serve a good God. God know’s what our needs are.  So, I really want to praise God. I thank God. I still remember when the first time I went into the prison. I don’t even know how to write and I don’t even know how to read. I don’t speak other languages.  I only speak Chinese. A lot of prison officer’s who are Christian’s, they asked me to receive Christ as my personal saviour, but I rejected. because at that time, I was so stupid and stubborn. I don’t want to receive Christ. They give me so many Bible’s and I don’t even know how to read. But God knows how to deal with a person’s life. God knows how to deal with a person who don’t know how to read and don’t even know how to write. God have His own way, own time and own people to lead me back to Him. 

The dream and God’s touch

One night, I have a dream, my friend asked me to buy a magazine. When I went to the book stall, I saw that there is a bible placed at one of the corners. I asked the shopkeeper to sell it to me and I bought the bible and went back home. All the way back home, the Bible become so big that I have to roll the Bible and I carry the bible home. When I reached home, I read it out. I asked a prison officer who always gives me bibles. What is the meaning of the dream that I carried a big bible?  So, he said, brother this dream come from God, so you have to receive Christ as your personal saviour because you are facing a very serious crime, you are facing death sentence. So, at that time, they prayed for me. But inside my mind, I am not a sinner. I have not killed anybody; I have no sin.

All the year.  I tried to learn how to read and how to write. A lot of prisoner and officers who taught me how to read. One day I had a bible. The bible that have pictures inside, I think it is a good news bible. So, one of the pictures really attracted me. That picture was found at Matthew 11 verse 28. There is a verse under the picture. A person carried a very big log. So that picture is the same as my dream. So that is verse saying that “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. So, this verse really changed my life. And that day, I really admitted that I am a sinner.  I am so clear that Jesus Christ died on the cross is for my sin. I know that our God that I worship is so real on that day. So, I received Christ and I go through the valley of death.

After in Prison

And God lead me to the high court even though I faced death sentence that changed into life in prison, and I spent 15 years in prison.  Every day I feel so happy, full with joy. I know that my life is to do ministry. I have to minister to people in the prison. So, I lead so many people come to Christ, when I was in prison. So, when I was whipped with 10 strokes at that time, I know that God gave me the strength.

The miracle continues

I know that God is always with me. I not only hear about it, but I can feel that God is so real, so good until today.  I was released from prison, I was so blessed by Him, I was so blessed by our Lord Jesus Christ, He always led’s me so I really want to thank God. I want to thank God; He give me a chance to speak here. I really want to thank our Pr Prem Kumar giving me a chance to become a member of prison fellowship ministry so that I can help more prisoner and I can go to the prison and to preach and minister to them. 

I hope all the Prison Fellowship Ministry volunteers don’t give up and do your best for the  Lord Jesus Christ. May God bless you all.

嗨，主里兄弟姐妹们平安。我叫梁文发。华人。我来自砂拉越的民都鲁。我是民都鲁分会监狱团契部的成员。大多数朋友都叫我 AD Leong。 AD 代表“死后”。为什么他们叫我 “死后” ，因为我之前已经被判处死刑。我是一个吸毒者，也是一个毒贩。我被捕并被判处死刑。

在监狱里

我真的很感谢上帝，因为他的恩典，因为一些技术问题，我的判决被改为无期徒刑和10下rotan。在监狱里度过了 15 年之后。我有机会在 2003 年出狱。哈利路亚，我们真的事奉一位善良的上帝。 上帝知道我们的需求。所以，很 感谢赞美上帝。我还记得我第一次进监狱的时候。我甚至不知道如何写和阅读。我不会说其他语言。我只会说中文。许多基督徒的狱警要让我接受基督为我个人的救主，但我拒绝了。因为那个时候，我是那么的愚蠢和固执。我不想接受基督。他们给了我很多圣经，我 甚至 不知道如何阅读。但上帝知道如何带领我。上帝知道如何对待一个不会阅读甚至不会写的人。上帝有他自己的方式、自己的时间和自己的人来带领我回到他身边。

梦想与上帝的触摸

一天晚上，我做了一个梦，梦到朋友要我买一本杂志。当我走到书摊时，我看到在一个角落里放着一本圣经。我让店主把它卖给我，我买了圣经回家了。一路回家，圣经变得越来越大，我不得不把圣经卷起来，扛着把圣经带回家。当我回到家时，我把它读了一遍。我问那 给我圣经的监狱官员。说梦见自己拿着一本大圣经是什么意思？他说，兄弟，这个梦是来自上帝，所以你必须接受基督作为你个人的救主，因为你面临着非常严重的罪行 — 死刑。所以，那个时候，他们为我祈祷。但在我心里，我认为我不是罪人。我没有杀过任何人；我没有罪。 全年。我学习如何阅读和写作。很多狱友和军官教我如何阅读。有一天，我拿着一本圣经。是有图片的圣经，我认为是一本“好消息”圣经。里头的其中一张照片真的很吸引我。那张图片是在马太福音 11 章 28 节找到的。图片下面有一节经文。一个人扛着一根很大的木头。那张照片和我的梦到是一样的。这节经文说：“ 凡劳苦担重担的人可以到我这里来，我就使你们得安息 ”。这节经文真的改变了我的生活。那天，我真的承认我是一个罪人。我很清楚耶稣基督为我的罪死在十字架上。我知道我敬拜的上帝在那一天是如此真实。所以，我接受了基督，我经历了死亡的谷。

入狱后

上帝把我带到高等法院，使我的死刑变成终身监禁，我在监狱里度过了15年。每一天我都觉得很幸福，充满喜悦。我知道我要为事工生活。我必须服事监狱里的人。所以，当我在监狱里的时候，我带领了很多人归向基督。当我被鞭打10下时，我知道是上帝给了我力量。

奇迹还在继续着

我知道上帝总是与我同在。我不仅听过，直到今天，我都能感觉到上帝是如此真实、如此美好。我出狱了，我很受我们的主耶稣基督的祝福，祂总是带领我，我真的很感谢上帝。我要感谢上帝；祂让我有机会在这里说见证。我也要感谢我们的Pr Prem Kumar让我有机会成为监狱团契事工的成员，这样我就可以帮助更多的狱友，我可以去监狱向他们传道和服事。 我希望所有监狱团契事工的志愿者不要放弃，为主耶稣基督尽自己的一份力量。愿上帝保守你们所有人。
